  i have done up a letter to my ex asking him to cease & desist with cramming his "religion" down our sons throat and also to stop our son from calling his wife "mom" and other issues that he's in violation of our custody order with.

  it was a nice letter, i told him knock it off or we're going to mediation (in our custody agreement as well) to figure it out.

  this was at the advise of my attorney.

  too right Frenchie!! I tend to react instead of act sometimes. I should give him the letter. The whole "mom" thing is spite..actually pretty much everything he does is out of spite. I just don't want my son to suffer at the hands of his idiot father.

  My attorney agreed, which is why she suggested the letter, let him know I'm serious and if he continues then I have more in my favor should we go back to court, which I think we are going to end up there. He's passive aggressive and when I say sh*t he says sugar. I get so frustrated. I try talking to him he just nods, and well, most of the time his beast wife does most of the talking for him, and it never is about my son. After the last time, I'm determined to NEVER respond to her again. This "mom" thing is just plain disrespectful, as is the ex & the beast.

  Thanks for the advice guys...I'll probably end up handing this to him tonite at some point. I'll just happen to drop by!

  and I don't know why. I went in last nite to pick up my son, intent on handing him the letter and leaving, and I couldn't do it. I have no idea why I freaked out. I cannot talk to my Ex without his wife being there & inputting her spin on things, she was there, I just couldn't do it. Not like I'd be there waiting for him to finish the letter & comment. What am I so afraid of? Confrontation!! I feel like such a wimp.

  i was just remembering back to when i was around 13 years old or so.

  my friend, who was 15, and i were both pretty sick and tired of field service.

  we tried to work together as much as possible and one summer we worked almost exclusively alone as door-to-door partners.

  Non Jw Dating a JW

  i'm a non jw currently seeing a jw.

  i am not totaly clear about the rules about jw's in dating.

  could someone explain this to me and does it vary from family to family at all?

  Oh Paradox...I can sympathize with your situation, only I'm a non-JW female and along with my now ex we have a son. He is taking him to meetings, and teaching him my beliefs are wrong. You have to get a lawyer, I cannot stress this enough, you have rights to this child and the sooner the better. As far as working it out & being together, that's a tough road. It's doubtful you'll see that. When they are caught in a situation that they can no longer ignore and is really detrimental to their own beliefs, they tend to run back with tail tucked firmly between legs. The guilt is too much, especially if their family is JW. They will rally around the wayward JW and "encourage" they do the right thing, and that won't include you. I've had my heart stomped on and it still hurts to this day, but my son has his father and a chance at seeing outside the JW life. I've seen my ex as this wonderful person, but as soon as the reality of his actions hit him, he went right back, and now I'm the bad guy in his eyes. I showed him the wrong way in life, but he's repented & back in the cult. It's not worth the heartache anymore to waste time on him, I have to do what's right by my son. Get a lawyer!

  it's me again- the pathetic one trying to hold on to my jw girlfriend or "ex" i guess.

  we haven't spoken in a few days because of course her parents know where i live and they have her cell phone tracked on the internet.

  she came into the store at which we both work today with one of her old friends who was visiting from another state.

  Hi SCP! I was thinking about you lately....sorry to see that things aren't working out well for you. You've hit the nail on the head tho, she does have to pretend and is obviously going to do the right thing for her family. It's sad for you, it's hard to deal with, but you will get through this. Every week, because of our son, I have to deal with my ex and his wife who goes out of her way to show me just how "loving" and "kind" she is (NOT). My ex is miserable, but he made his bed.

  I guess I find solace in knowing that if she can't run her own life and thinks nothing of human emotion due to something she's supposed to be doing, then I don't need a relationship with her.

  Bingo....it's sad but true, you're lucky you got out before you got more involved. Maybe one day when she's a bit older she'll find her way out, you can still be there for her as a friend. Holding out hope is great, but don't waste too much of your life waiting for her.

  my wife (now ex-wife) and i were not getting along very well five years ago.

  Tempting as it may be with my ex....It would do more harm than good to say something like that to him, it would be devastating and would probably come back on our son somewhere down the line. If I were unsure, I would tell him straight up and point him in the direction of the nearest clinic to get a paternity test. In my state, if your name is on the birth certificate, you are assumed to be the father regardless and therefore responsible for any child support, insurance, etc.

  Sorry to hear your ex is so nasty, leave the kids out of it. Sounds to me she knows right where to hurt you.
